Privacy policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

Your recordings never leave your computer. This page covers the small amount of data Cuezoom does handle.

Recordings

Recording, editing and export happen in your browser. The video, along with the clicks, cursor positions and key presses captured while recording, is stored locally in IndexedDB and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. Deleting a project or uninstalling the extension removes it.

Key presses

While you record, Cuezoom notes which keys you press in the recorded tab so it can show shortcuts in the video. It skips password fields. This data stays on your computer with the rest of the recording.

For the zoom, the blur and the step guide it also notes the site's address, the size and visible name of what you click (a button's text, a field's label, never what you typed), where you type, and where emails, card numbers, password fields or API keys appear on screen. It stores their position only, not their content. All of it stays on your computer with the recording.

License keys

If you buy Cuezoom Pro, the extension stores your license key and sends it, with a random device name, to our payment provider Lemon Squeezy to activate it and check it now and then. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and handles your payment and email under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Email newsletter

If you sign up for tips on our website, we store your email address in our database (hosted by Supabase) and use it only for Cuezoom emails. Ask us and we'll delete it.

Uninstall feedback

When you uninstall, a short optional survey opens. Answers are stored without any name or email.
